Auctioneer with Continuing Education
Karin actively practiced as an antiques and residential contents auctioneer from 1997 to 2019. She has been a member of the National Auctioneers Association (NAA) and has actively participated in continuing education through the NAA, including designations in Auction Marketing Management and Certified Estate Specialist as well as the Graduate Personal Property Appraiser and Expert Witness training.
Prior to becoming an auctioneer, Karin owned an estate liquidation company serving Lake County, Illinois and suburban Seattle, Washington. She completed the Estate Brokerage, Antiques Appraisal and Antiques and Fakes Identification classes at Edinboro University.
Karin holds a Bachelor of Arts in History from the University of Missouri.
She has completed art business and valuation courses through the prestigious Sotheby's Institute of Art; Watches, Pearls and Gems Identification and Appraising with the Insurance Institute of Jewelry Appraisal and the Diamonds, Diamonds Grading and Colored Stones classes at the Gemological Institute of America (GIA); and Machinery and Equipment Appraising with the NEBB Institute.
